Review: Senayan City is a mixed-use building located in Gelora, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The complex comprises of a seven-floor shopping mall, multi-purpose complex office building, an apartment and a five-star boutique hotel. Senayan City is built on a land area of 48,000 m² owned by Bung Karno Stadium Authority. It is built and managed by Manggala Gelora Perkasa, a subsidiary of Agung Podomoro Group, under BOT contract for 50 years, starting in 2005.
Definitely one of the biggest and poshests malls in Jakarta, fashionistas must include visiting Senayan City on their Bebe, Zara, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, AX Armani Exchange, Celio, Ted Baker, Massimo Dutti – you name it (after al, this mall’s tagline is “The world class shopping destination”).
The 4th floor has many cool stores which specialize in children’s merchandise, such as Mother care, The Children’s store, Cool kids, Hunny Bunny, Et Cetera Kids. Let your kids have fun at My Play Mall and Lollipop Playland while you cruise around the mall.
If you like hanging out late, drop by Crystal lagoon, a cozy open-air area which is open until 2 a.m. daily (however, the restaurants close at 12 p.m.). Thumbing through the menus, you will find Indonesian, Malaysian, Italian, and Japanese food on offer.
