Entertainment X'enter, better known as eX, positions itself as an entertainment center - fX is ut younger sister. Free live music lights up eX in the evening - on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
As an urban hangout, eX offers and interesting mix of trendy shops. Cosmetic brands that are quite difficult to find Jakarta, such as NYX from U.S, Korean face shop and Skin Food, have opened outlets at eX. Fashionista should pop into Axara, the chic boutique from Paris. Gadget lovers can amuse themselves with the latest electronic gadgetry at Sony Centre.
Unlike other malls in Jakarta that usually house at least one food court, you can not find any at eX, however, it does offer various cafes and restaurants, like Fish&Co, En Dining, Shabu-Shabu house, Sandwich Time, Bread Papa and Starbucks.
Note: eX has undergone a minor facelit and looks hipper-however, I prefer the previous design when I could go to eX directly from Plaza Indonesia’s Kinokuniya bookstore (especially when I’m in a hurry) without having to stroll around the shops that connect Plaza Indonesia and eX. However, surely it would not be a problem if you have plenty of time to window-shop.
