Restaurant Reviews for Thai Food

Siam Garden - at PX Pavilion
By: Bear, June Siam Garden PX2010
We went to Siam Garden at PX Pavilion, one of the happening places in West Jakarta. PX has been a new alternative to dine nowadays, Tony Roma’s is one of the restaurants who long belonged to southern part area but now open in PX.

Now this review is about Siam Garden. It is with open kitchen concept with considerably small dining place. I went there 6 pm and already on waiting list.

The food
Asparagus Ala Thai Chicken Mango

Kerapu Putih Tim Saus Hongkong Prawn with Cashew in Taro Bowl

My favorite dish here is the shrimp with cashew and taro. Check out the presentation, doesn't it look yummy? It has all the color and tasty look (which indeed tasty). They deep fried the taro and make it like a bowl, which I think it looks like a nest...interesting!

Anyway, this taste a little sweet, especially if you have the shrimp with cashew this is definitely must try. Asparagus in Thai sauce taste good, though I find it more like Chinese sauce. Chicken fillet in mango sauce is also yummy, especially if you like sour mango.

The food
Homemade Tofu The Rice

Kerapu Putih Tim Saus Hongkong

Steamed fish I had was fresh....not too saucy which is good, so that you can really taste the fish. When you order tea, they will serve you with Thai tea. Thai tea has a strong flavor. So, for those of you who are not familiar with Thai tea, I recommend bottled water.

Overall, dining in Siam Garden is satisfying. A bigger space will make it better.
