Several shopping malls in the Greater Jakarta will increase rental fees by between 5 and 10 percent this year following increases in consumer good prices and operational cost.
PT Metropolitan Land president Nanda Widya said Metropolitan Mall in Bekasi would increase its tenants’ rental fees by between 5 and 10 percent also because it had spent a lot on renovating the mall recently.
Between 30,000 and 40,000 people visit the mall on weekdays and between 50,000 and 60,000 on weekends, Nanda said as Thursday, as quoted by kontan.co.id.
Senayan City shopping mall in South Jakarta will also increase its rent of between Rp 800,000 and Rp 1,200,000 per square meter by at least 5 percent.
According to Senayan City public relations and tenant relations manager Sri Ayu Ningsih, rent was usually increased once every five years.
The mall attracts up to 85,000 visitors a day on weekdays and 100,000 on the weekends, she said
